HAPPENINGS

A special breast cancer day called Bowls for Boobs begins 13th of October. It will be played over 24 hours and all proceeds will go to the Aussie dragonflies (a group of breast cancer survivors) and Hastings cancer trust, there will be plenty of great prizes. So why not get a team (3) together. Entry is $75 per team and can be paid at our reception.

Voting for the board of directors will open on 6 October to elect a full board of 7 members. You can vote between 11-1 am and 4-6 pm until voting closes on 12 October.  It is important for everyone to have a vote.

Twilight bowls is starting again on Thursday evenings with a 6pm start. The first game will be played on 19 October. It will be a jack attack triples format and should be a lot of fun.

Melbourne Cup day is coming up quickly. The sheet is now on the board. It should start around 10am.

Christmas is coming soon. We need acts for the concert. If you are interested see Judy Brady.

Consistency singles on 3 October will have a 9:30am start.

We need more players for Thursday and Saturday mornings.

Don’t forget to put your name down for Pennants we will have to finalise the teams by the end of October.

Pick up your flyers for Encouragement Day to be played in November. It is open to all players with less than 6 years’ experience.

The final of major minor Pairs will be played on Thursday 28 October Robin Kean and Robin Hehir vs Beth Schubert and Lynne Robertson It should be a great game for spectators so come along.

Sunday PM   – Mixed Triples. 12.30 for 1pm start (names in by 10.00am)
