Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Second round of minor pairs to be played 16th September, L. Thompson V C. Marr. D. Smith V C. Thornton. T. Scholz V B. Smith. M. Rowthorne V M. Wilkins.

Entries are open for the major/minor pairs and close 18th September. Rounds 1 & 2 to be played Saturday 23rd September

In the state interzone championships on day one zone 14 lost to zone 11 ( Manning) then defeated zone 10 ( Syd. North/west).

As I write this report the final is being played between Zone 12 (Sydney South-West) and Zone 13 (Sydney Central & South).

2017 club challenge. There is a sheet on the board for those interested. It is due to start 14/15 October.

Pennants 2018. It is a long way off ( April 2018) but the chairman of selectors ( Sir Robert Crombie) has asked ALL intending players to complete the nomination forms so all bowlers can be registered with the royal. Even if you can only play part of the season.

Port City Bowling Club AGM will be held on Saturday 16th September. Voting for three vacancies is now open between the hours of 11 – 1 pm and 4 – 6 pm. Let your “voice” be heard and vote.!

The PCMBC bowls calendar for September/October is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls web site under “Calendar 17”.

Travelling Bowlers next big brekkie and bowls day is on Sunday 17th September starting at 8.30 am.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery. Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $2000.
