LAKE CATHIE MEN’S BOWLING CLUB
WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 9TH JULY
At our AGM on Saturday, our Management Committee for the next year was
confirmed; Gary Blackler President, Ray Downes and Kerry Deas Vice-Presidents, Bill
Skane Secretary, Barry Bird Treasurer, Keith Miller Bowls Organizer. Committee
Members are Phil Innes, Glenn Ferris, Norm Malzard and Ken Pritchard. They will
be looking for your support during the year; you do not have to be on the
Committee to be involved.
Following the AGM in the
Semi-finals of the Major Pairs, Gary Knox and John Atkins defeated Steve
Townsend and Geoff Worley. In the other game, Glenn Tiley and David Brims
defeated Bob Fischer and Bob Ruming. Congratulations to all the teams and we
look forward to an entertaining final.
The two Bobs managed
something out of the defeat, winning the lucky losers prize for the day. The
winning rink prize went to Kerry Deas and Vic Hayhurst.
On Monday that prize
went to Ken Pritchard, Jim McGill and Brian Pearce; lucky losers were Helene
White, John White and Anne Armstrong.
The winning rink on
Thursday went to Roger Miles, Ross Stevens and Sid Cochran. Runners up were Viv
Austin, Steve Townsend and Geoff Worley and lucky losers were Brian Sloggett,
John Morgan and Rob Edwards.
