A reminder that Port City is a non smoking venue. It is Illegal to smoke on the greens or on the surrounds to the greens.
The men’s club by laws as relates to dress code, is now posted on the notice board
Also for club championships, team events, teams must be dressed the same ie all in the “old uniform” or all in the newer representative uniform. Teams who are not dressed accordingly have the very real risk of being disqualified.
Pennant Update.
Grade 1. Defeated Tuncurry and have made the state playoffs at Cabra Vale Diggers. Port City have been drawn in section 4 along with Kingscliffe Beach, Warilla and Maitland City. The first game is on Friday August 4th against Maitland City.
There will be a supporters bus leaving the club on Thursday morning and a sheet is on the board for all those intending to utilise this service.
Our grade 2 have also qualified to the state finals to be played at Wagga. A supporters bus will leave the club on Thursday morning 3rd August. A sheet is on the board for the names of those who wish to travel on this bus.
The popular grade 6 and 7 tournament will start tomorrow (16th June).
Also in June is the Port Macquarie mixed pairs starting 23rd June. This year you will be playing one day each at Port City, Westport and Panthers/Hibbard
The prawn and chicken night- post pennant thank you- will be held on Wednesday 28 June at 6pm. Please put your name on the sheet on the notice board if you intend to participate.
The men’s club AGM has been set down for Saturday 22 July. Preliminary notice is on the notice board.
Bowling membership is now overdue, and can be paid at reception. The fees to BowlsNSW and zone 14 have been paid by the club ( approx $20,000) so all bowling members are fully affiliated with these organisations.
Sunday 4th June travelling bowlers charity day in support of Marine Rescue and Sailability raised approximately $5000. Well done to all concerned.
Prestige Pairs with $6500 in prize money July 12th to 14th.
If you would like to purchase a Port City club shirt at reception, a BA logo can be added at a small extra cost.
