Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Pennants:

Subject to numbers, it is intended to run coaches to the state finals at Cabra Vale and Wagga. Please let your intentions known ASAP so this can be finalized.

Bruce Anderson and Ken Paulsen have been chosen in the selection trial for NSW senior state side at Cabramatta July 17-18

Congratulations to Jack Lewis who has been selected for the state under 25’s to play Queensland later this year.

Congratulations to Greg Brims and Danny Barrett who defeated the North Haven team 26/20 in the final of the State Men’s Pairs – Zone 14 Southern Section .

The zone final will be played at Stuarts Point Sat/Sun 29/30 July against the Park Beach team of Corey Daley and Craig Donaldson.

The NSW state singles zone 14 southern section is being held at Port City starting weekend of 8-9 July. The draw is on the notice board. Markers are required.

In the Port Macquarie mixed pairs played over the week end of 23 – 25 June the winners from South Australia were Geoff and Vicki Lehman with 5 wins and a margin of 81. 2nd was our own Steve Matheson and Shirley Devine with 5 wins, margin of 69, and coming 3rd was Allan Old with 5 wins, margin of 51. They were the only teams who finished with a maximum of 5 wins out of a total of 76 teams. I would like to thank my playing partner Laura from Castle Hill in Sydney for putting up with me for 2 ½ days !!!!

The 2017 major singles draw is on the board, the first round to be played on or before July 2nd.

July 12 to 14 Prestige Pairs, prize money of $6500

The PCMBC bowls calendar for June/July  is on the board. The full 2017 calendar is on our bowls web site under “Calendar 17”.

Prawn & Chicken pennant thank you night is on Wednesday 28th June at 6pm. A sheet is on the board for catering purposes.

Men’s club AGM Saturday July 22 at 9.30 am. Notice of the AGM and agenda is on the board.. Nomination forms are available at the kiosk. Noms close 5pm Saturday 8 July.

Voting will commence on Friday 14th July.
Only financial members as at 14th July will be eligible to vote.

The travelling bowlers AGM will be held on Sunday 23rd July. Preceded by the traditional breakfast.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery. Also club ltd badge draw at 7 and 8 pm currently stands at $4500.

Social Bowls: Please note we would encourage social bowlers be back in the club by 4pm to allow for a timely presentation and raffles. No dead ends.  Thank you for your co operation.

The $726 jackpot stayed in the bank.

Thursday: Winners ($15) B. Chappo – P. Gilligan. Runners Up ($10) R. Apps – B. Collis. Lucky losers ($7) N. Schwartz – K. Taylor.
Jackpot of $299 was not won by M. Brennan.

I hear Chappo put down a wrong bias and had to pay by installments (true story).

Friday: No social bowls due to the mixed pairs tournament.

Saturday afternoon social bowls are now back in full swing after the pennant break.

Sunday: No bowls
