WESTPORT WOMEN’S BOWLING CLUB

TUESDAY MORNING MIXED BOWLS – 9.30am start – Uniform or neat casual. Welcome all members and visitors to this competition. Come along and enjoy a pleasant morning of bowls with a happy group of players. Even the hot weather and rain did not deter the regular Tuesday morning bowlers with a roll up of 51 players Winners for Tuesday February 14th were Dee O’Mara, Alan Kesby, Margaret Coombes and John Hughes.  Raffle winners were Lesley Godson, Alan Kesby and Peggy Coughey. Jackpot not won.  Margaret and Ron Coombes can be contacted on 6581 3264 or 0422816063 if you would like to come and have a happy game of bowls. All visitors welcome. Bowlers to meet upstairs at the Club in the Community room before bowls.

THURSDAY MORNING LADIES DAY – 9.30am start –Uniform. Selectors for Thursday 23^rd February are Colleen Purnell (65840396) and Carol Owen (0405417994). Water and flag roster for Thursday 23rd February, any Committee member who is not playing pennant. Winners were Yvonne Hansell, Joy Elford, Kaye Stingel and Di Irving. Runners up and half jackpot winners Helen Blain, Dot Burley, Pat Marchant and Marcia Glover. Raffle winners Helen Blain, Ann Hughes, Peggy Coughey and Nancy Burns.

 

100 Club winners Elaine Hankin, Jenny Crisp, Helen Blain, Marcia Glover and Pat Marchant.

 

Pennant season starts on Tuesday 21^st with the No 3s and 4/red playing at Port City. Best of luck girls and good bowling. If you are unavailable for a game please let Carol Owen know as soon as possible so a replacement can be made. BIG REMINDERS:

Our 2017 August Triples Carnival is on Wednesday 9^th and Thursday 10^th of August.

TWO DAY MIXED PAIRS CARNIVAL JUNE 2017

On Saturday 3^rd June, 2017 and Sunday 4^th June 2017, we are holding a two day Mixed Pairs carnival with prize money of $5000.  Entry fee will be $80 per team for the two days.
