Port City WBC Weekly News

The first round of the club Triples was played on Tuesday 8^th July. Results are Judy Scholz WOF Mary Norman, Jan Gauld (sub Adriana Cutler) def Fay Martin, Lynne Thompson def Barbara Barrett, Hazel Durrant def Jeanice Schiemer, Beth Schubert def Elaine Eames, Pat Light def Daphne Sumsky, Margaret Walsh def Debbie Amor, Robin Kean def Ann Kirk.

Social Bowls were also played. Lucky Rink Winners were – 1st- Beth Schubert, Janine Stockham, Lois Bishell. 2^{nd  _}  Robin Kean, Joyce Ebbeck, June Edward. 

Consolation -  Robyn Biddle, Ella Wright, Linda Wright.

Raffle Winners – 1^st Mary Bennett, 2^nd – Barbara Owens.

70’s Club – 1st Margaret Fowler, 2^nd Judy Brady, 3^rd Dawn Olsen.

It was great to see our non-playing members at Morning Tea. Some of the ladies present were Marianne Smith, Veronica Davey, Muriel Whitbourne, Beryl Young and Gwen Turner.

Major/Minor Pairs entries close next Tuesday and play will commence 29^th July.

There will be no Ladies Social Bowls next Thursday 17^th July.

The District AGM will be held at The Westport Club on Friday 11^th July.

Our AGM will be held on Monday 21^st July at 9.00 am in the Functions Room (upstairs). There will be some voting, so please make every effort to attend and vote for your committee.

Westport Gala Day will be held 24^th July and the sheet is on the board.
