Port City WBC Weekly News

Tuesday 29^th July was a lovely day for a game of bowls and 22 social ladies enjoyed a game of triples and 1 rink of pairs. We had 2 visitors, Barbara Standen and Pat Corry, we hope your enjoyed your day with us.

It was the first round of the Major/Minor Pairs and we had 23 teams playing. Raffle winners were Gwen Hollis who won 1st prize and 2^nd went to Lynne Robertson.

70 Club winners were 1^st Eleanore Russell – 2^nd Barbara Standen and 3^rd Lyn Zahara.

The next Quarterly Meeting will be held on Tuesday 12^th August after bowls.

Daffodil Day will be held on Tuesday 2^nd September. There will be a Trading Table and a Spider – donations of jams, cakes, plants etc., would be very welcome and also spider prizes. All proceeds will be donated to the Cancer Council.

To any of our member’s or their family who are not very well we wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you back at the club very soon,
