Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 6th July.

Wednesday  :- $15  Eric Faulkes & Bobby Dugdale .  $7  Ron Owen & Ron Thompson

Thursday :- $15 winners were Warren Jamison and Frank Smith. $7 each to Freddie “Lucky” Mulligan and Paul Barry. The Jackpot was not won by Peter Harper and Kev Atkins. Jackpot rises to $258 (plus takings) and the numbers will be 1 to 12

Friday:- $15 winners were AJ Uptin & Keith Scotney. $7 each to A Unsworth and Barry Smith. The Jackpot was not won by John Boys and Tom Cornforth. The Jackpot next week remains at $600 with the numbers being 1 to 8.

Club Competitions: The Minor Pairs Championship draw is now up on the board.

The Major/Minor Pair’s entries are now open and close on 20^th July.

The draw for the District’s Senior Open President’s Reserve Singles is also up on the board.

Men’s Club Elections. Nominations are open for committee and selector positions for 2014/2015. Information on the responsibilities for each  position is available on the Club Notice Board. Note - nominations close 5pm on the 12^th July 2014.

Sunday P.M. :- Sunday afternoon social saw 82 bowlers again in the near perfect conditions. The Lucky Envelopes  were . 1^st N Williams,  2^nd K Ison ,3^rd  J Pruis,  4^th M Cutting,  5^th R Earl, 6^th F Humphrey, 7^th E Dasczyk,  8^th B Thompson, 9^th D Holihan, 10^th N Stingel, 11^th G Connell, 12^th  J Scholz, 13^th B Ramsay and 14^th J Wyper. The Raffle :- 1^st J Wyper 2^nd IB Ramsay &  3^rd B Dawe. Jackpot next week will be $210.

For all the up and coming bowlers, there is free coaching available to everyone (12 year olds and above welcome). Just turn up to the bowls office Saturday mornings at 10:00 am
