CLUB SINGLES

Congratulations to our Club Singles Winner Lynne Thompson. It was a very close final and congratulations also to the Runner-Up, Carol White.

To Lynne Thompson and Carol White for winning the Club Pairs. Congratulations also to Margaret Walsh and Shirley Devine for being Runners-Up.

4 DAY EASTER CARNIVAL

The Easter Ladies’ Pairs was held on Easter Saturday and the following clubs were represented – Panthers, North Haven, Lake Cathie, Westport, Port City, Castle Hill, Tuncurry. Results are as follows.
Overall 1st Place – Carol White and Lynne Thompson, Overall 2nd Place – Faye Schollum and Carol Bowman, Overall Third Place – Joy Allen and Irene Orr (North Haven).
1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Winners all had the same score, 3 wins, 23 ends and a margin of 28. Results were decided on percentages.
AM First Game Winners – Lorraine Smatell and Eula Webster, AM Second Game Winners – Karen McFarlane and Hannah Clohesy, PM Winners – Gail Carmody and Robin Kean.
Easter Basket Winner - Carol Bowman (a worthy winner after all her
hard work) and Jan Gauld won first prize in the raffle on Good Friday.
VETERAN’S DAY
The Veterans’ Day this year was held at Westport on 7th April. It was a great day, with many ladies playing on the greens. Congratulations to Marie Bignell who received her Star Veteran’s Badge for turning 90. Congratulations also to Dulcie Holihan who received her special pin for turning 80 this year.
NON-BOWLING MORNING TEA

We welcomed the following ladies to morning tea.
Marianne Smith, Muriel Whitbourne, Veronica Davey, Elaine McGrath, Val Grambau, Irene Turner, Shirley Chapman, Jan Goldman, Beryl Young, Gwen Turner, Fay Martin. We look forward to welcoming them again next week. Last month

Club jackets are now available for sale at $55 each.

                      UPCOMING EVENTS

Entries for Club Fours will close at 11.00 am today and will commence on 20th May.

60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

10th June - The Sheet is up for you to enter for our 60th Birthday Celebrations. There will be a Spider in aid of the Early Intervention Society and the cost for the day is $15, lunch included. Please put your names down early so that the Committee will have some idea of numbers for catering purposes. The State President, Robyn Procter, will be visiting us on that day.

20th May -  Our next Quarterly Meeting will be held, after bowls.

21st May - Port Panthers Gala Day will be held and the sheet is on the board for entries.

27th May – The Biggest Morning Tea will be held, prior to going on to the greens.

Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd June Versatility Fives. Entries close on 23rd May, (or when filled).

2nd September – Daffodil Day

9th September – Handicap Triples
