LNC District Men's Pennant Summary

With round 9 of the pennants completed several District flags are still undecided with next week's final round 10 of the sectional play deciding the winners.

Sectional winners will be decided on points, if two or more sides are equal then the team with the greatest shots margin (total shots "for" less total shots "against") will be the winner. If there is still a tie the side with the lowest "total shots against" shall be the winner. After that rink wins & end wins will decide. (see 4.22.2  in the state conditions of play for details).

Grade 1: Westport and Kempsey Heights are currently tied on points with Port City an outside chance (they still have a game in hand from round 5). Non of the top 3 play each other in round 10. Our poll, on the right of this post, continues to show Westport as the favorite.

Grade 2: Port City has an unbeatable lead on 47 points.

Grade 3: Port City leads Port Panthers by 5 points with Port City having a bye next week and Port Panthers playing Kew. Port Panthers need to have at least a 5 - 1 win to tie and take the title on the margin (they have a 110 - 68 lead over Port City now).

Grade 4: Still a close race with North Haven, Crescent Head, Port City & Westport grouped at the top of their grade.

Grade 5: Port Panthers have an unbeatable lead of 10 points over Lake Cathie in second place.

Grade 6: Westport will take out the 6/1 section with South West Rocks winning the 6/2's. These teams will play on Sunday 11th May to decide the Grade 6 title (venue to be advised).

Grade 7: Westport may have won this grade depending on the results from round 9 game between Kew and Westport.
