Tuesday 27th May we held our Biggest Morning Tea and we were served
with delicious scones, jam and cream before going out onto the greens.We also
had a Spider and Robyn Biddle thanked everyone for their generosity in raising
$628.45 for the Cancer Council. Well

Port City Men's Major Pairs Final
Men's Major Pairs Winners (L-R) Greg Brims, skip & John Hrabak
The Port City Men's Major Pairs final was played this morning in a very close match that could have gone either way. Scores were tied at 16 all after 18 ends until Greg and John went on to win 22 - 16.

"A Special General Meeting happened at Port Panthers on Friday, 16th May. A unanimous vote, by our fourteen District Clubs, passed the Zone Alone proposal.

The District Fours continued on Sunday at Lake Cathie with some close games in round 2 and the quarter finals.

The LNC District Fours commenced today at Lake Cathie with round 1 this afternoon. Round 2 and the quarter final will be held at Cathie tomorrow, Sunday 18th May. Play starts at 9:00 am with 16 teams in action after several received a bye today.

"The best "senior" bowlers from around NSW will converge on the Shoalhaven when the Senior Inter-Zone Sides Championship is hosted by Milton Ulladulla and Lake Conjola Bowling Clubs from Tuesday 20th to Thursday 22nd May.

Unfortunately the Lake Cathie BC blog is closing down after 3 years on the web. Neil Proctor has made this decision, no doubt with some regrets, after spending many hours keeping bowlers updated on the Club's activities.

LNC Men's Pennant Update & Zone Finals
The post sectional playoff for grade 6 was completed today with Westport taking out the title defeating South West Rocks 69 - 46.
LNC District winners will now progress to the Zone 14 finals to be held on Saturday 24th May. (date corrected - sorry for the previous error)

By mutual agreement of the two teams and the Match Committee, the deferred Round 5 match between Port City & Wauchope has been declared a tie under COP 4.9
Each team has been awarded three (3) points.
The Play-off between Grade 6 sectional winners Westport (6/1) and South West Rocks (6/2) will be played tomorrow morning at Kempsey RSL. Good bowling to both teams.
Men's Round 10 Pennant Play at Port City
The final sectional round 10 of the LNC District was played today with the following scores from Port City:
Grade 4: Port City def. Wauchope 6 - 0
Grade 5: Port City def. North Haven 5 - 1
Grade 6/1: Port City lost to Westport 2 - 4
Grade 7: Port City def. Westport 5 - 1
Non of these results influence the sectional winners in their grades.

Port City WBC Weekly News
Tuesday 6th May was another great day to be on the greens. There were Social Bowls played, as well as the 18th Round of Grade 4 Pennants. Grade 4(2) def Wauchope.
Grade 4(1) will play their 18th Round at North Haven against their 4(1’s) on Thursday 8th May. The Regional Pennant Playoff will be held at South West Rocks on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th June.

LNC Men's Pennant Final Round 9 Results
The final results for round 9 on the LNC District Men's Pennant are now available - click here for the details thanks to Kevin Williams, District Bowls Coordinator.
Missing scoring for Grades 5, 6/1, 6/2 & 7 have now been included.
In Grade 4 the North Haven vs Port City score has been revised to 6 - 0 for North Haven following the
disqualification of Port City for a breach of player eligibility.
With this update Port City are now out of the running in Grade 4 and Westport have taken out the District flag for Grade 7.
Pennant play on Saturday 10th May will decide the District winners for Grades 1, 3 & 4 with the Grade 6 playoff on Sunday 11th May.
