Port City WBC Weekly News

On Saturday 24^th and Sunday 25^th August the Inaugural State versus City match was played at our club. Country defeated City by 20 shots overall.

The Coca Cola Triples was held at our club on 26^th and 27^th August. The clubs that participated were Port City, Lake Cathie, Park Beach, Tuncurry, Tuncurry Sports, Old Bar, Westport, Panthers, Kew, and a visitor from South Australia.

The sheet is on the board for the Out of Hat Fours to be played on Tuesday 3^rd September and Barbara requested that all players arrive at the club no later than 9.00 on the day in order to get the draw for the teams completed early. There will be two games played and players must provide their own lunch.

On Thursday 22^nd August, Minor Pairs results - Kerry Bolsover and Pat Morrison defeated Daphne Sumsky and Robin Kean.

On Thursday 29^th August Barbara Owens and Eleanore Russell will play Pat Morrison and Kerry Bolsover in the Minor Pairs. Jenny Devitt and Roslyn Stone are in the finals. Date to be fixed.

Club Mixed Pairs commenced last Sunday.

Minor Singles opened on Tuesday 27^th August.

Daffodil Day will be held at our club on Tuesday 17^th September.
