WELCOME AND THANK YOU

We held our AGM on Monday 15^th July and we now have a few new members on the committee, 

A big thank you to the retiring committee members for all their hard work and a big welcome to all new committee members. As you can see above we now have a new Life Member – Shirley Devine and I am sure you will all agree she is a very deserving recipient.


  CONGRATULATIONS

To Gail Carmody, Carol Bowman and Debbie Amor (skip), who won the Club Triples for 2013. Congratulations to Gail on becoming a Major – no small feat for the short time she has been playing bowls.

 Congratulations to the Out of Hat Triples winners Shirley Devine, Grace Greenaway and Daphne Sumsky and Runners-up Debbie Amor, Joy Barry and Zelle Cook.

 Congratulations to the Overall Winners of the Handicap Triples – Grace Greenaway, Mary Bennett, Robyn Biddle and to the Overall Runners-up Anne Connell, Ann Kirk and Fay Martin.

 Well done Carol White on reaching the 3^rd round of the Champion of Club Champions Singles held at Oak Flats last month.

Also, well done to Shirley Devine and Margaret Walsh for their fine effort in the Champion of Club Champion Pairs at Warilla.

 Congratulations to our Grade 1 and Grade 2 Pennant Players who will be travelling down to Port Stephens to compete in the State Pennant Play-off at Port Stephens 12 – 15 August. It would be good to see many of our members there cheering them on.

 Congratulations to Beryl Young who turned 90 on 22^nd July. Beryl is a regular at our non –playing member’s morning tea.

 Our thoughts and prayers are with Dawn Olsen and her friends and family following the death of her husband recently.

 DON’T FORGET

 Minor Pairs entries close today at 11.00 am. We really need some more entries for the event to be held.

 Our August Quarterly Meeting will be held today after bowls
