The final pairing for the club singles was decided on Wednesday afternoon Charles Doyle will do battle against Dean Gemmell after a classy win against Brian Charters. Charles was too good on the day and we wish both players all the best in the final.
Sunday morning saw a very good game in a semi-final of the major triples Bill O’Donnell, Gary the machine Hamilton and Mick Stuttard were on their game and were a bit too good for Terry Duff, Charles Doyle and Barrie Isaac.
Three very happy chappy’s walked out the door with the jackpot and big smiles well done Denis Chiddy, Charles Doyle and Mick Stuttard. Vouchers went to Kerry Dea, Steve McGregor, Cliff Kerr and John Hilton.
Wednesday social and heading to the butchers with the cash was Ray Elliott, Terry Duff and Budgie Brecard, the runner up loot went to Frosty. Voucher winners were Chicka Thompson, Ray Pantlin, George Wise, John Gemmell and Pat O’Connor.
In the club triples Howard Burrows, Dean Gemmell and Dick I never win anything Davies def Stewart Rogan, Reggie Robb and Trevor Robb, Garry Hamilton, Bill O’Donnell and Mick Stuttard had a hard fought win against Ian Hilton, Ray Wicky Allan and Mick Ashford.
Monday monthly pairs for July will be on the second Monday the 8th of July open to all bowlers start 9am this will coincide with the week of bowls at the club for the 10 year anniversary of amalgamation with LUSC, Tuesday is ladies day, Wednesday social, Thursday LUSC, Friday jackpot triples and Saturday will be Memorial day featuring the Ken Kinman Shield and the Hancox-Jack shootout.
For those entering the minor singles the cut off has been extended until the 20th of July.
Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
