A great game of major singles was played on Friday afternoon Charles Doyle met Bill O’Donnell in the quarter final and it was any ones game right to the finish but it was Charles who kept his cool and won the match over a gallant Billy O. Charles will now play Brian Charters for a place in the final against Dean Gemmell the game will be played on Wednesday afternoon weather permitting.

Two games in the major triples were played on Monday afternoon Stewart Rogan, Reggie Robb and Trevor Robb def Jeff Nichols, Adrian Hilton and Rod Sutton, Ian Hilton, Ray Allan and Mick Ashford def Bob Sims, Wayne Thrussell and Terry Miles. Wednesday saw another match in the triples Terry Duff, Charles Doyle and Barrie Isaac def Frank Raczka, Ian Hodgkinson and Pat O’Connor. Two games played on Sunday Sparra Cheers, Paul Cini and Peter Griffith def Dave Jones, John Gemmell and Brian Charters, Terry Duff, Charles Doyle and Barrie Isaac def Ian Poole, Peter Laing and Mark Hammond.

Saturday cashpot triples and picking up the cash was Ellery Ross, Dean Gemmell and Dick I never win anything Davies, 2nd place went to Leslie Faulstone, Rob Edwards and Terry Stringer and in 3rd spot was Mick White, Trevor Boyle and Ingo Model. Voucher winners were Leslie Faulstone, Trevor Boyle, Ingo Model and John Jarvis.

Just a reminder for those that have put their teams in for the Classic Fours could you please put your full team in as it shows that you have a full side for the event and it saves chasing players so if you could please fill the sheet in that is on the board.

Wednesday social and heading to the bank with their loot was Danny Thomas, Bob Sims and Dave Jones, the runner up dosh went to Leslie Faulstone, Darren Darcy and Bruce Fletcher. Voucher winners were Tony Austin, Ray Elliott, Leslie Faulstone and Charles Doyle.

A correction on the Monday monthly pairs for July only they will be on the second Monday the 8th of July open to all bowlers start 9am this will coincide with the week of bowls at the club for the 10 year anniversary of amalgamation with LUSC, Tuesday is ladies day, Wednesday social, Thursday LUSC, Friday jackpot triples and Saturday will be Memorial day featuring the Ken Kinman Shield and the Hancox-Jack shootout.

Entries are now open for the minor singles there is a sheet on the board and will close on the 8th of July.

Wednesday social and jackpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
