WEEK ENDING SUNDAY 17TH DECEMBER
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone. Stay safe and sensible. We want you back in 2018.
Christmas came early for Anne Wilson and Geoff Worley on Wednesday when they took out 1st prize in the Classic Pairs. Les Allport and Graham Conen were a close second. 3rd went to Paul Jacobsen and Phil Smith, 4th to John O’Neill and Barry Isaac and 5th to Gary McLoughlin and Andy Lloyd. The consolation prize was won by Brian Pearce and Alma Pritchard. Alma is looking forward to the next Classic Pairs day.
Monday’s social bowls winners were Veronica Stewart, Charles Duthie and Peter Ascot-Evans. Lucky losers were Bill Metcalfe, Paul Dewson and Peter Harris.
Thursday saw Graeme Bateman, Steve Webster, Bob Hoban and Glenn Tiley scrape over the line to win. Runners-up were Hubert Hopitz, Keith Woods, Steve Townsend and Geoff Worley. The lucky losers were Ray Stokmanis, Steve Grimshaw, Denis Begley and Dave Pateman.
John Morgan and Brian Sloggett were the grinners on Saturday and lucky to lose were Paul Dewson and Bob Fischer.
