The following news release has been received from Julie Fraser, Communications Officer, of the Westport Women's Bowling Club.



"It is with great sadness that I report the passing of one of our lady bowlers .
Diane Stansfield passed away on Christmas Eve morning 24/12/2017 . She was a truly gentle lovely lady and will be missed by all of Westport Ladies .
If anyone would like to attend her funeral it is 11 am on Thursday 4th January at the Crematorium. RIP “Di”.
Our thoughts are with her husband Bruce and family and friends at this time ."

Summerland Series Tournament

The popular Summerland Series is underway at Cherry Street Sports in Ballina. The pairs are being played from Wednesday 27th - Friday 29th December, 2017 and the singles from Tuesday 2nd - Friday 5th January, 2018.

"Following the City/Country Series on the 4th & 5th November 2017 at Cabramatta Bowling Club the Selection Committee selected the following Squad for the State Camp to be held at Cabramatta & Grandviews on the 16th & 17th December 2017."
