Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks.

A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

A Reminder also that Tuesday is ladies day, please guys no rolling up until after 2pm.

New Port City bowls cloths have arrived. They cost $5 each. See Phil to purchase one.

In the Club Challenge state finals the Men’s Gold were 2nd in their group to Cabramatta. The Mixed Gold 3rd in their group and the Mixed Bronze were runners up to Padstow.

Congratulations to Bryce Stewart, who jointly won the zone 14 senior bowler of the year with Greg Howick (KH) and Phil Brown ( Sawtell)

The 70’s and over grand final will be played on Friday between Ian Binder / Tommy Smith and Brian Richardson / Brian Stokes. Good bowling to both sides.

Presentation Day is on Saturday 17th December, with bowls 1 – 3 pm, followed by nibbles and drinks. A sheet is on the board.

The travelling bowlers Xmas party is on Sunday 18th, members only. Breakfast at 8.30 am. Their Xmas hamper raffle will be on Thursday 22nd December

The Future of Lawn Bowls at Port City. By now most of you would have a copy of the notice issued by the committee. There is one on the notice board and additional copies are available from the committee.

Primarily this has been brought about by Bowls NSW and Zone 14 adopting the Fixed Fee Structure (FFS). The new arrangements will come into force from January 1st 2017.

Pennants 2017. Intending players are requested to complete the “ Pennant Nomination Form” ( available on the notice board), and hand the completed form to our bowls coordinator.

The 2017 LNC representation nomination sheet ( Southern Section ) is on the board. First selection trial will be held at Port Panthers on Saturday February 4th at 9am. There are open and over 60’s divisions and intending players should indicate their preferred playing position.

The next Xmas ham raffle is on Wednesday 14th with 80 hams to be raffled.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Wiggly Tail Butchery.

Please note we would encourage social bowlers be back in the club by 4pm to allow for a timely presentation and raffles. No dead ends Thank you for your co operation.

Saturday afternoon bowls is on again starting at 12.30 pm with a jackpot.

Sunday: 48 bowlers today enjoying the Xmas festivities. The $120 jackpot was not won. There were 16 lucky prizes and the raffle winners were W. Evans, B. Weatherly and F. Green
