Tom
Thrussell and Ron Apps were the winners in the Tuesday afternoon social bowls.
The runners up were Pedro Gill and Darrel Foster with the consolation prize
going to Don Proctor and Ron Kemp.
John
Burns - Bill Moodie and Phil Ross were the winners in the Thursday afternoon
social bowls. The runners up were Gerard Grovenor - Geoff Bynon and Peter
Gleeson with the consolation prize going
to Don Tynan - Kev Thompson and Eddie King.
Thursday
is Men’s Triples - Casual dress with a 1pm start.
Saturday
is Mixed Triples - Casual dress with a 1pm start.
Tuesday
is Men's Pairs - Casual dress with a 1pm start.
Results
of 100 club 244 drawn on the 7th Dec are: - 1st No 72 Roz Gawith, 2nd
No 29 Eve Fennell and 3rd No 68 Harry W McCann. Members are advised
that 100 club tickets which cost $2.00 each are on sale all week with 1st
prize getting $60.00, second $30.00 and third $10.00. 100 club 245 will be
drawn once all numbers are sold.
Members
are reminded that the “Bowlers Friday Night Raffle” is on again this Friday at
the Hibbard Sports Club with tickets on sale from 5pm and the draw commencing
at 6pm. There will be 7 half hams, 5 legs of pork and 10 great meat trays as
prizes supplied by Hastings Fresh Meats and the cash jackpot will be worth $120.00
this week if won.
