On Thursday 17^th April there were 5 rinks of championship pairs played and the results are (skips only), Lynne Thompson def Beth Schubert: Joyce Ebbeck def Ann Kirk: Janine Stockham def Barbara Barrett: Kerry Bolsover def Maureen Scholz: Maureen Cutting def Joan Bird.

Then on Tuesday there were 3 rinks of pairs played and also 48 ladies playing social bowls. Results of the pairs are Lynne Thompson def Joyce Ebbeck: Janine Stockham def Shirley Devine and Maureen Cutting def Kerry Bolsover. Congratulations to everyone and thank you to Fay Martin and Judy Brady for umpiring. Maureen Cutting is through to the final and the second semi final will be played on Thursday between Lynne Thompson and Janine Stockham. The final will be played next Tuesday 28^th April weather permitting.

There will not be any bowls this Saturday – Anzac Day

Paddle Pop Pairs proved to be very popular and will be played on the 1^st Thursday of each month. The next one is on 7^th May, please be at the club by 9.15 for a 9.30 start.

Entry to the Club fours is open next Tuesday 28^th – will close on 19th May with play to start on the 2nd June. Also entry to the District Singles is open, with play to start 30^th June.

Gala Day is on 5^th May, so there’s plenty of time to get your items for the Trading Table.

On the same day the Grade 3 Pennant Team are being presented with the District Pennants Badges and Flag. Also on the same day it is our Quarterly Meeting, what a busy day.

Club Limited has notified us that as from the 1^st June the green fees will rise by $1 to $8.

To any of our members or their families who are not very well, we wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you back at the club soon.
