                 DID YOU KNOW? (Umpires’ Contribution)

That when measuring for shot, if a bowl is likely to fall either opponent can use the best available means to secure it in its position.  If it falls of its own accord, it stays in its new position and measuring can continue.  All shots already agreed upon still count. (Law 40.6).
Therefore...it is very important for the player doing the measuring to carry some “chocks” to secure a leaning bowl prior to commencing the measuring process.
Presentation Day - 2nd December
Christmas Party Day 9th December

On the lighter side!

When is it okay to kiss someone?

(1)             When they’re rich. – Emma, age 7
(2)             The law says you have to be 18, so I wouldn’t want to mess with that. – Aaron, age 7
(3)             The rule goes like this: if you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It’s the right thing to do. Ben, age 8

To any of our members or their family who are not very well we wish them a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing them at the club soon.

Names in or out of bowls or ladies wishing to play a half game on Tuesdays only please  ring the bowls office 6583 1153 before 8.00 am.
