Ladies collecting their “birthday” drink vouchers were Margaret Edwards and Pat Morrison.  Happy birthday to you both!

Members were reminded that our next Quarterly Meeting will be held on Tuesday 12 November after bowls. We have started collecting items for the Salvation Army Christmas hamper, which will be presented to the Salvation Army representative, who will be present at our Christmas party on Tuesday 10th December.  Donations can include non-perishable food items and gifts which should be wrapped and labelled as to an appropriate recipient, e.g. “Boy 9”., or “Lady” or Gentleman”.

Also, members were asked to think about items for our Gala Day to be held on Tuesday 19 November.  There will be a trading table, spider and lots of fun on that day!

The pennant list has been taken down from the noticeboard but selectors are still happy to hear from any member wanting to play who did not get their name on the list prior to this.

Margaret Doyle has advised that there will be no further circuit training on Friday mornings until next year.

As next week is Melbourne Cup Day, there will be no ladies’ social bowls that day.
However, there will be a fun morning of mixed bowls with casual dress the order of the day!

Entries close on Friday 1st November.

Please remember names in or out (or for 9 ends only) by 8.00 am Tuesdays on 6583 1153

Thanks to Barbara Owens for this report
