CONGRATULATIONS

To Barbara Owens and Eleanore Russell on winning the Minor Pairs. Congratulations also to Jenny Devitt and Roslyn Stone on being Runners-up. These ladies have not been playing very long and I expect we will hear a lot more about them in the future.

Congratulations also to Jan Creak who turned 80 on Tuesday, 24th September.

 MINOR SINGLES

 Commence today. Good bowling and good luck to all.

CONSISTENCY SINGLES

 Close today at 11.00 am, so don’t forget to put your entry envelope, complete with name and $5, in the box if you wish to play. The first round will commence 15th October.

DAFFODIL DAY

On Tuesday 17th September we held our Daffodil Day and Trading Table for the Cancer Council. We raised $1450 and this, combined with over $2000 raised some of our ladies led by Robyn Biddle, was a great effort. 

WAUCHOPE GALA DAY
Will be held on Thursday 3rd October.
The sheet has already gone in, but I am sure if you wish to play you would added to the field if you ring Wauchope Bowling Club.

NON PLAYING MEMBERS MORNIG TEA

We look forward to welcoming our non-playing members to morning tea next week

STATE PLAY OFF

From 12th – 19th October the State Championship Play-offs will be held at Tuncurry. Port City will be ably represented by Pat Light and Jennifer Munson, who will play in the State Pairs. It would be great if many of our ladies turn up to cheer Pat and Jennifer on.

 We are very pleased to advise that Ingrid Code is home from hospital. We all wish her a speedy recovery and send her our best wishes.

 Val Geary’s husband died during the last month and our thoughts and prayers are with her at this time. 

PINK PANTHER DAY

 Will be held on 23rd October at Port Panthers in aid of cancer research.
