Port City WBC Weekly News 12th September

Lovely weather on Tuesday 10^th September for Social Bowls, as well the Minor Pairs Final. Congratulations to Barbara Owens and Eleanor Russell on winning the Minor Pairs Championship and also to Jenny Devitt and Roslyn Stone on being runnners-up. These two girls are only in their first year of bowling and are showing real promise.
The following ladies attended our non-playing members morning tea on Tuesday – Muriel Whitbourne, Jan Goldman, Shirley Chapman, Veronica Davey, Irene Turner, Marianne Smith, Val Grambau, Beryl Young and Gwen Turner. We hope you had a great time catching up with your old friends.

We wish Megan Hobson a very happy birthday this week.

Also, two ladies who are away at this time celebrated birthdays – Hazel Durrant and Pamela Ditchfield.

Minor Singles are already open, will close on 11th September and will be played 1^st October.

Consistency Singles opened this week, so please remember to put your entry envelopes in the box, along with your name and $5 entry fee.

Port Panthers 3-bowl pairs carnival will be held 18^th September.
