Port City Men's BC Weekly Newsletter


Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 22 September.

Wednesday pm :-$15:-  J Lobley, L Grambau & J O’Brien.  $10:- P Duff, C VerKoeven & B Nugent.  $7:- A.Eeves, J Stone & B Wallace

Thursday A.M. :- R Evans, B Owens & C White

Thursday pm :- $15:- AJ Uptin & C Thornton.  $10:- B Apps & J Rossiter. Alas, Kevin Atkins  was unlucky  drawing  the wrong number for the jackpot of $340. The jackpot  rolls on next week and will be around  $400, good luck bowlers.


Friday pm :  $15:- G Platt & P Flanagan. $10:-  D Pascoe & R Carkeek . $7:- A Unsworth & B Smith.
The jackpot of $600 was not won by M Wallace  & J Burge, bad luck boys. Next week the jackpot is  $600 and only 3 numbers .

Saturday A.M. :- The A.G.M. of the Club Ltd was held.

Saturday pm.:- $10:- P Harris & C Thornton   $7:- D Gudgeon & D Lomas 
Lynne Thompson & Ron Thompson  missed the jackpot  of  $132 so it rolls on next Saturday. It will be  about $150.

Sunday Mixed Triples :-  A Lovely afternoon of bowls & fellowship had by all 58 bowlers with the jackpot prize of $90 not won.

$15 :- O Cook, D Holihan & R Holihan.  $10 :- R McCrow, M McCrow & J O’Brien.  $7 R Evans, R Roach & K Roach.

The lucky envelopes went to D Stone, J Wallis, E Ramsay, E Eames & T Milward. with the lucky raffle winners being Z Cook, R McCrow & B Barrett

Winner’s prizes.:- J Drewsen, B Burge, T Wellings, N Williams, O Cook, E Ramsay, A Eames, E Moss, J O’Brien & D Stone.

Championships:-

Mixed Pairs:-  E Eames & D Jenner def H Clohessy & C Buchanan.  L Stewart & B Stewart def  J Munson & G Keft.

Mixed Fours :-  B Campbell, C Murray, P Light & G Light def  L Cannon, K Hercus,  E Hercus & J Mitchell.
