Port City Men's BC Weekly Report



Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 27th January. Sorry for the delay but we had some technical problems with this report.

Wednesday pm :- Day winners :- $15  Roy Begg , Gerry Eyles & Greg Laird; $10 Warwick Kempster  & Chris Campbell
Thursday am :- Washed out .
Thursday pm :- Washed out .

Friday pm :- 94 bowlers with the day winners being :- $15 Eric Rowsell  & Ian Binder;  $10 Terry  Schollum  & Gary Williams.The jackpot of $600 was not won by Terry Schollum & Gary Williams. Next weeks jackpot $600.

Saturday am  :-  Australia Day 102 bowlers no winners or losers , Best dressed team David Lomas , Les Scholz & Judy Scholz  & Kanga . Spider  (Men) Jeff Hudd ,(Ladies ) Maureen Scholz .The spider raised funds for the Bush Fire Appeal .

Saturday pm: Championship Fours :- Keith Scotney , Fred Rauch , Keith Hall & Tom Smith def  Bill Grant , Brian Crewe , John Rossiter & Gerry Eyles .Then the  rains came .

Sunday am: The Terry Kelly Memorial Day with 110 players was enjoyed by all with Peter Wholohan, Steven Hayes & Fred Pearson winning the annual shield. A great day was held by all in attendance including the Kelly family who travelled from wide and afar.

Sunday pm :-Washed Out

A reminder that in all club championships all players must be dressed in the same attire as per the clubs by-laws.

Don’t forget the Friday Night  Monster Meat Raffle buy $5 get $5 free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of meat trays tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm .
