Port City Men's BC Weekly News Report


 Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 20th January.

Wednesday pm :- Day winners :- $15  Alf Wellings, Eric Faulkes & Joe Piola,$10 Brian Smith, Bob Kemp & Brian Sharman, $7 Dave Callanan, Bob Tait & Warwick Kempster
Thursday am :- The day winners :- Carole Banks & Judy Scholz PM 76 bowlers played  with winners $15 Bert Sainsbury, Jim Howard & Brian Richardson $10 Julian Duczynski, Ian Schofield & Bruce Thompson $7 Ralph Redhead & Terry Mawer. Next weeks jackpot $600

Friday pm :-84 bowlers with the day winners being :- $15 Jim Bultitude, John Breen & Bob Langham $10 Sandy Harris, John Rossiter & Tom Smith $7 Greg Keft, David Dickman & Charlie Buchanan. Next  weeks jackpot $600.

Saturday am  :-  Winners, Anne Connell, Lois Bishell & Beth Schubert.
Saturday pm: 56 players with the days winners : $15. Carole Banks & Terry Millward. $10 Shirley Devine & Margaret Walsh.

Sunday am: The Terry Kelly Memorial Day with 110 players was enjoyed by all with Peter Wholohan, Steven Hayes & Fred Pearson winning the annual shield. A great day was held by all in attendance including the Kelly family who traveled from wide and afar.

Sunday pm :-Washed Out

Australia Day on Saturday January 26th starting at 10-00 am with damper and billy tea at 9-30 am. Goods to the value of $700 will be on offer. Prizes for best dressed team. Men’s, Ladies & Mixed triples. A spider will be held to raise funds for the bushfire appeal, see entry sheet on notice board.

A reminder that in all club championships all players must be dressed in the same attire as per the clubs by-laws.

A pennant trial to be against Forster will be played on Sunday 27th January 2013 with Grades 1,2 & 3 at Port City. Grades 4,5 & 6 will travel to Forster with cars leaving the club at 7-45 am or otherwise arranged with the skippers. Grades 7 will play a trial against each other at Port City with all trials starting at 9-30 am at both Port City & Forster. Please tick your name on the team sheets provided showing your intention of playing.

Don’t forget the Friday Night  Monster Meat Raffle buy $5 get $5 free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of Meat Trays Tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm .
