Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 6th January.

 

Wednesday pm :- Day winners :- $15 Brian Smith, Bob Kemp & Brian Sharman;  $10  Olly Cook, Geoff Barney & Karl Woischwill.

Thursday pm :- The day winners :- $15 Graeme Platt  & Graham Lees & Peter Flanagan;  $10 Terry Schollum  &  Ron Bowman  .

Friday pm :-60 bowlers with the day winners being :- $15 Callum Murray, John Keller, Trevor Scholz  & Paul Brady.  $10 A.Baker, John Robinson, Ern Leonard &  Keith Ison .

Australia Day on January 26^th bowls starting at 10-00 am with damper and billy tea at 9-30 am. Goods to the value of $700 will be on offer. Prizes for best dressed team. Men`s, Ladies & Mixed triples, see entry sheet on notice board.

The match committee has decided to put the Men’s Fours Championship back a week with the next round to be played on Saturday 19^th January (see notice on board) But you can still play your game before Just Inform the bowls office so we can save you a rink . A reminder that in all club championships all players must be dressed in the same attire as per the clubs by-laws.

A pennant trial to be played against Forster will be played on Sunday 27^th January 2013 with Grades 1,2 & 3 at Port City. Grades 4, 5 & 6 will travel to Forster with cars leaving the club at 7-45 am or otherwise arranged with the skippers. Grades 7 will play a trial against each other at Port City with all trials starting at 9-30 am at both Port City & Forster. Please tick your name on the team sheets provided showing your intention of playing.

Don’t forget the Friday night  Monster Meat Raffle buy $5 get $5 free ,Tickets go on sale from 5pm .And our after -bowls raffle on Sunday of $1,000 of meat trays. Tickets go on sale from 4.30 pm .
