LNC District Singles Finals.

The LNC District Singles continued today with play in the State Singles and the State Senior Singles.

 District State Singles (Kempsey RSL) : Play this morning in the semi finals saw the following results:

Peter Taylor def. Matt Sargeant

Scott Franklin def, Alan Wares.

Play was discontinued for the final due to the extreme heat conditions at Kempsey with a reported 41 deg. C. (Bowls Australian has suggested policy that play should be discontinued once the temperature reaches 38 deg. C.)

I would assume the final will be played tomorrow, Sunday 13th if the temperatures moderate.

District State Senior Singles (Port City): The weather was a bit kinder with the ocean breezes moderating the temperature today. 

In the semi finals Geoff Ball (Port City) def. Don Forest (Kempsey Heights) 31 - 28 and Bill Webber (Westport) def. Trevor Gittoes (Hat Head) 31 - 24.

The final saw a great display of draw bowling from both Bill and Geoff with Bill taking out the match 31 - 18.
