Port City WBC Weekly News 4th October

 

Social Bowls were held on Tuesday 2nd October at 9.30 am.

We welcomed back Robyn Hehir, Robin Kean and Fay Walsh from their holidays.
The Minor Singles commenced today.
Winners of the first round were G Carmody, K.Bolsover, B. Burge, S Smith,
L Cannon, W Kennedy, K Bassett. The next round will be at 9.00 am on Thursday 4th October.

On 24th, 25th and 26th September we held the Coca-Cola 3 day Open Triples Carnival.

Voting for Club Limited Board starts Saturday 6th October and closes on Thursday 11th October. Please don't forget to vote.
Our non-playing members Morning Tea will be held next Tuesday 9th October. We look forward to catching up with you.

State Playoffs for 2012 will be held at Tuncurry and will commence on Saturday 6th October and finish on Saturday 13th October. We are so proud of all our representatives and it would be great if we could have many supporters turn up for this fabulous occasion. The programme is as follows: -
6-7 October – State Pairs – Morgan Solman-Stewart, Janine Stockham
8-9 October – State Triples – Judy Brady, Carol White, Barbara Barrett
10-11 October – State Open Fours – Jenny Wallis, Shirley Devine, Karen McFarlane,
Margaret Walsh and also State Senior Fours - Rhonda Evans, Adriana Cutler, Norma Schwartz, Jennifer Munson
12-13 October – State Singles – Carol White

On Saturday 6th October the club is introducing an afternoon game of open jackpot pairs. Play to commence at 1.00 pm. Format - 2 men, 2 ladies, or one of each. Dress will be smart casual and there will be a blind draw. Play will be 21 ends or until the bell at 4.00. Ladies Social bowls are still on at 9.30 am.

Voting for positions on the Board of Directors of Port City Bowling Club Limited for the next two years opens on Friday 5th October and closes on Thursday 11 October at 5.00 pm.
