Port City WBC October Newsletter



It is with great sadness that we announce the death of two of our beloved members Barbara Wellings, who passed away on Tuesday 18th September and our Patron Lorna Whitehead, who passed away on Wednesday 26th September. We extend our condolences to their families and friends.

Saturday 6th October the Club is introducing an afternoon game of open jackpot pairs.

Play to commence at 1.00 pm. Format – 2 men, 2 ladies, or one of each. Dress will be smart casual and there will be a blind draw. Play will be 21 ends, or until the bell at
4.00 pm.
There will still be Ladies Social Bowls at 9.30 am.

PLEASE NOTE:         State Playoffs will be held at Tuncurry and will commence on Saturday 6th October and finish on Saturday 13th October. We are so proud of all our representatives and it would be great if we could have many supporters turn up for this fabulous occasion. The programme is as follows: -

Non-playing member’s morning tea will be held next Tuesday 9th October at 10.30 am and we look forward to welcoming old friends as they share a cuppa at the Club.

On Tuesday 18th September we welcomed 7 new members who have joined during the last twelve months, introduced them to the committee and invited them to afternoon tea.
