Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 7th October.

Wednesday pm :- 80 bowlers with the day winners :- $15  Craig Julian , Bernie McCudden  & Peter Gilligan  $10 (The Lucky) Fred Mulligan , Bob Kemp  & Brian Sharman . 

Thursday pm :- 64 bowlers played in warm windy conditions with the day winners being :- $15 Merv Green  & Geoff Worley .  $10  Warren Francis  & (the lucky) Freddy Mulligan . Warren Jamison  & Ron Bowman failed miserably in their attempt to win the jackpot of $600. Next week the jackpot will be $600.

Friday pm :-70 bowlers with the day winners being :- $15 John Robinson , Brian Crutcher & Jim Mitchell: $10 Steve Matheson & Peter Gilligan.The jackpot of $346 was not won by Eric Rowsell & Allan White. Next week's jackpot $400 plus.

Saturday pm :-We had 60 bowlers play in our inaugural open pairs with the day winners :-$15 Barbara Gunn  & Peter Gunn  $10 Judy Brady & Paul Brady .The jackpot of $292 was not won by Les Scholz & Judy Scholz. Next week the jackpot should be approximately. $350.

Sunday am .Mixed Fours Championship :- On a very windy morning Denise Gudgeon , Carol White , Alan White & Geoff Worley def Les Scholz , Maureen Scholz , Judy Scholz & Trevor Scholz .

Sunday pm :- 58 players with the day winners $15 Jenny Wallis , Robin Hehir  &  Barbara Barrett $10 Ingrid Code , Nolene Williams  &  Joan Bird  $7 Sue Smith  & Francis Fairbrother . Lucky Envelopes 1^st Rex Holihan  2^nd Keith Ashdown  3^rd Ros McCrow  4^th Elaine Eames  5^th Eric Durrant . Raffle 1^st  Graham Connell  2^nd  Graham Connell  3^rd  Jim O’Brien . Next week's jackpot $120.

There will be 40 visitors from Forster Travelling Bowlers playing with our mixed players .
