The following is a news release from Charlie Buchanan, Bowls Coordinator, Port City regarding the upcoming NSW Greenkeepers State Championships to be played at Port City BC from Monday 21st - Friday 25th May. The championships include both singles and pairs.
"Notable players are Phil Flippence former RNSW State Senior Player of the Year and winner of numerous Zone 15 titles playing alonside Aron Sherriff. Brent Norman current St Johns Park player who has represented NSW. Adam Troth (Northmead) a premier league player, Kevin Bowcock from Avoca Beach has won a number of titles.Local bowlers Chris Derks (Harrington), Jason Aurisch (Blackhead), Ray Cooper (Gloucester), will also be tough opposition but everyone should be aware of our own local Nigel Perry from Port City."
