Lake Cathie Women’s Bowling Club

Report Weekending 9th August 2020

A big congratulations to our Major Pairs Winners for 2020 that was played on the 4th August of Dianne Fischer and Roz Hancox who defeated Susan Malzard and Vera Hamilton, it was a great game right down to the last end with just one shot winning the game.

Now for the results over the last 2 weeks, on the 28th July 2020 the lucky rink winners were S Stokmanis, N Castles and P Monaghan and the runners up were J Blackler and W Byers and on that same Tuesday there were rounds of the Major Pairs and they were D Fischer and R Hancox defeating J Blackler and W Byers, J West and R Jones defeated A Butlin and W Sharples, Y Howard and A Wilson defeated P Begley and J Grimshaw, S Malzard and V Hamilton defeated P Kelly and M Duhigg.

Then on the 4th August 2020 the winning rink was P Kelly, A Constantine and L Fuller/D Batts and the runners up were M Dewson, M Duhigg, G Potts and N Castles.

Remember we still have bowls on a Friday for anyone looking for a game and yes ladies cards on Saturdays.

That’s all I have for results this week but remember to check your boards for any notices for events coming up as the next few weeks are going to be hectic with the AGM on the 18th August so please be at the club at 9 am for a 9.30 start as long as Covid doesn’t change things on us. We still have a few positions to fill so please think about putting an expression of interest in after the meeting as it would be great to have a whole committee.

We also have the thankyou lunch on Thursday and there is a list in the ladies room so you can put your name down if you wish to attend.

To all who are unwell or recovering we send you our best wishes and hope to see you all soon but 1.5 metres apart and sanitized lol, so be safe in these uncertain times see you all on Tuesday.

Liz
