Kew Men's Bowling Club

Sunday the two semi-finals of the major singles were played Dean Gemmell def Mick Ashford and Mick Stuttard def Trevor Robb the final will be played on Saturday after the AGM.

The singles are now to the nitty gritty end after games on Saturday Mick Stuttard def Brian Charters, Mick Ashford def Paul Cini, Dean Gemmell def Barrie Isaac and Trevor Robb def Chicka Thompson. The semi-finals are Mick Stuttard v Trevor Robb and Dean Gemmell v Mick Ashford.

Sunday morning there were two games of club triples Gary Ruprecht, Chicka Thompson and Barrie Issac had a 1 shot win against Graeme Martin, George Wise and Jeff Nichols, Warren Barnes, Jeff Wylie and Trevor Boyle def Darren Darcy, Brian Charters and Rocky Davis.

The club triples are underway with the first match played Wednesday Ian Poole, Dave Napper and Peter Laing def Keith Nichols, Daryle Barr and Wayne Thrussell. Saturday morning Steve Anderson, Ingo “The Stud” Model and Dave Jones def Cliff Kerr, Pat O’Connor and Reggie Robb.

Wednesday social and scooting out the door with the cash was Alf Salter, Jeff Dixon and Barrie Isaac, the runner up moola went to Keith Nichols, Daryle Barr and Wayne Thrussell. Voucher winners were Mick Ashford, John Hilton, Jeff Nichols and Steve McGregor.

Saturday cashpot triples and heading to the greengrocers with the loot were Graeme “Con the fruiterer” Martin, Viv Gunter and Jeff Nichols, 2nd Darren Darcy, Gary Hamilton and Greg Darcy and 3rd spot went to Keith Nichols, Ingo Model and Mick White. Voucher winners were Graeme Martin, Ingo Model and Kim Thompson.

The Classic Fours set down for the 5th and 6th of September has been cancelled due to covid-19 the committee put the safety of our members and guests first and look forward to seeing everyone in 2021.

Monday monthly pairs are on the 7th of September this is an open event men, women and mixed starting at 9am uniform dress is required, grab a mate and be in with the chance to win the jackpot of $1,000 and it must go off if not won on the first draw then a draw for $600 will continue until won then a draw of $400 until won come on out to the friendly club and enjoy a day on the green.

Bowles this week Wednesday social and Friday jackpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
