Kew Men's Bowling Club

Wednesday afternoon there was 4 major singles matches contested Mick Ashford def Warren Bates, Ian Poole def Terry Stringer, Trevor Robb def Frank Raczka and Barrie Isaac def Steve Anderson and Brian Charters def Jeff Dixon.

Monday monthly pairs and 28 teams graced the greens on a warm winters day and winning the day were Gary Cheers and Chicka Thompson, 2nd Denis Hare and John Ingram, 3rd Brian Charters and Phil Collins and 4th John and Dean Gemmell the next Monday pairs will be played on the 7th of September and the jackpot will be worth $1,000 if not won on the first draw the jackpot will be split into two sections first the draw for $600 until won then $400 until won grab a mate and be in with the chance at the money.

Wednesday social and scooting out the door with the loot was Jeff Nichols, John Gemmell and Ray Allan. In the runner up slot was Steve Anderson. Vouchers went to Bob Sims, Graham Williams, Peter Griffith, Bob the hand breaker Kennett, Ray Allan and Wayne Thrussell.

The Kew Men’s AGM will be held on Saturday the 22nd of August starting at 10am with the cashpot triples to follow. All positions are open and there are nomination forms on the board.

The Kew Classic fours will be held on Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of September $4,00 in prizemoney this will be of a limited number of teams because of covid 19.

Friday social and bolting out the door with the cash was Frank Raczka, Dave Napper and Peter Laing, the runner up dosh went to Daryle Barr, Bob Sims and Bob the hand breaker Kennett. Voucher winners were Ingo “The Stud” Model, Bob Sims, Dave Jones and Charles Doyle.

Bowls this week Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start both days mufti dress all welcome.
