The final of the major minor pairs was played on Saturday afternoon in very blustery conditions and the pair that handled the conditions the best was Chicka Thompson and Mark Hammond who overcame their opponents Stewart Rogan and Dean Gemmell in a fine display of how to play in windy conditions. Congratulations to both teams on making the final.
One game of mixed pairs was played on Saturday Joan Turnbull and Peter Griffith def Jean Donnell and Bill O’Donnell.
A big thankyou to Frank Raczka for filling in for me while I had a break thanks again Frank for a job well done.
Wednesday social and scooting to the bank with their winnings was John Smith, Ian Poole and Mick the bickie eater Ashford, the runner up dosh went to Warren Bates and Dave Jones. Voucher winners were Ian Poole, Mick Ashford, Tony Austin and Wayne Thrussell.
Friday Jackpot triples and the JP is still in the bank and is worth $354 on Friday the 29th of November, rink winners were Ray Elliott, Daryle Barr and Bob the hand breaker Kennett, in the runner up spot were George Wise, John Jarvis and Rod Sutton. Vouchers went to Mick White, Chicka Thompson, Gary Hamilton and Charles Doyle.
On Saturday we had a visit from the lads from Gloucester men’s bowling club three games of triples and two games of pairs with the Gloucester team proving too good for the Kew boys a great time was had by all so a rematch has been organised for Sunday morning.
The Christmas party and Presentation day will be held on Saturday the 14th of December starting at 4pm there is a sheet on the board for those who wish to come please get your names in early to help with the catering Santa will be there.
Monday monthly pairs will be on the December 2nd it is an open event, men, women or mixed are most welcome 9am start club uniform required come and have a day on the greens at the friendly club.
Wednesday social and Saturday cashpot triples are the bowls this week names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
