Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt and neat shorts/slacks. No tank tops or singlets

Bowls Facebook page has been updated. We now have bowls streamed “live” from Port City. Listen to Phil “the Ray Warren of bowls” Baker call the shots

 A Reminder that Port City greens and spectator areas are smoke free.

Mixed triples finally got underway Saturday 1st December. The final between Phil Baker and Mark Parry

Christmas Ham Raffles get under way this week.  Wednesday 5th December (60), 12th December (80) and 19th December (100). Tickets will be available prior to the draws if you cannot make it- see one of the committee.

Pennants 2019, Nomination forms are at the bowls counter. Please complete this to assist the selectors. I believe lots more names are required.

Presentation Day will be held on Saturday 15th December. Bowls at 1pm. Nibbles and presentations from 3pm.

Last day of social bowls for 2018 will be Friday 21st December, starting up again Wednesday 2nd January 2019.

Committee news- We welcome aboard Graeme McKay who has filled the vacancy.

Travelling bowler news –
Christmas party is on Sunday 23rd December, breakfast at 8.15. This is a free day.

Don’t forget the men’s meat raffle every Friday, tickets available from 5pm with the draw at 7pm.  Ask for our special deals when buying tickets. Meat trays are proudly supplied by Coppy’s butchers Block.

Social Bowls

Wednesday:
What a day weather wise-we waited for a storm to pass before playing, and just completed the afternoon when another storm hit.
Winners ($20) Stan Hungerford-Tony Mallia-Chris Thornton. Runners Up ($10) Jock McDonald-Bob Langham- Ron Osborn. Lucky losers ($10) Keith Hall-Trevor Scholz-Ken Lipscombe.
Ken Paulsen missed the $1000 jackpot.

Thursday:
No social bowls due to the George & Matilda open pairs. Many thanks for their support of this popular tournament.

 Friday:
Winners ($20) A. Moore- Bob Keats-Dave Terley. Runners Up ($10) Ross Towers-Dave Pascoe- Graeme McKay. Lucky Losers ($10) Bernie Apps-Adrian Fakes-George Moss.
The $200 jackpot was not won.

Sunday bowls:
Xmas party notice- Sunday 16th December will be our Sunday bowlers Xmas party. Usual 1pm start.
