As this will be the last news for the year on behalf of Barrie and the committee we would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy safe and prosperous new year and as the Wizard says cheers bears and reindeers.

A meeting was held before play on Wednesday with some of the board from LUSC chaired by Rob Dwyer to inform us that the grass green will be brought back into play after a full restoration this is great news and was welcomed by all who attended work will start as soon as shavings from another tiff green can be sorted.

The Friday jackpot money stays in the safe hands of Treasurer Tony until we try again on the 28th of December rink winners were Warren Barnes, Ian McLaren and Ron Hale, the runner up moola went to Ian Hodgkinson, Cliff Kerr and Trevor Boyle. Voucher winners were Mick the bicky eater Ashford, Dean Gemmell, Charles Doyle and Ian Hodgkinson.

Bowlers please note that on the 19th of January all pennant sides are requested to be at Port City to have our first trial match please check the board to see the side you are picked in the trial starts at 1pm please be there early to have a roll up.

There is a nomination sheet on the board for the club championship fours noms will close on Friday the 28th of December with the first round to be played by the 11th of January.253

Wednesday social and heading to the shops with the cash was Jimmy Race, John Gemmell and Charles Doyle, and picking up the runner up coin was Steve McGregor, Darren Darcy and Barrie Isaac. Vouchers went to George Wise, John Gemmell, John Hilton and Ian Hodgkinson.

Monday monthly pairs will be on again on the 7th of January start time 9am this day is open to men, women and mixed please get your names in by Saturday the 5th at 6pm.

Wednesday social 9am start names by Tuesday 6pm and Saturday cashpot triples names in by 11.30 12.30 start mufti dress all welcome.
