On Tuesday President Barbara
welcomed 104 players to our Gala Day. There were teams from Comboyne, Kew, Lake
Cathie, Wauchope, Port Panthers and Westport. She also welcomed our District
President Diana Upcroft and District Secretary Carole Graham.
It was a lovely
day for bowls and the weather was very good after all the rain. President Diana
presented our Grade 3 Pennant Players with their Pennant Badges and Flag. We
wish them good luck and good bowling when they go to the Regional Play-offs
being played at North Haven 18th-19th May. We held a
trading table and a spider and at the end of the day we were very happy to
present a cheque for $1045.00 to the District.

awarded prizes to four lucky people: - Vicki Bayliss, Betty Hall, Shirley
/Devine and Betty Hazell.
The men’s club are holding
their handicap triples 12th, 13th, & 14th May so
there won’t be any ladies bowls on the 12th or 14th.
Club Jackets which are
normally sold for $70 are now reduced to $45 until 23rd June.
The draw for the District
Singles is on the Notice Board.
It’s that time of the year
again when we must consider nominating for a position on committee. The nomination forms will be on the board
shortly.
To any of our members or
their families who are not very well, we wish you a speedy recovery and look
forward to seeing you back at the club soon.
