News from Port City

The news report from the Port City Men's Bowling Club is now available for the week ending Sunday 17th May 2015 thanks to Colin Halls.

The home of the Port City Koala
Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt, neat shorts/slacks.

Pennants results- Round 10 results not available at this time, but I can report the Grade one won and have won their section-well done boys. In deferred games played this morning our 7/2 were defeated so are now out of the running, but the 7/1 were successful. They now have to wait on results of games still to be played to see if they win their section.

The 2 bowl handicap triples was run and won this week. 1st team skipped by R. Austin (Taree Leagues), 2nd G. Brims (composite) 3rd J. Williams (Crescent Heads). It was a great opportunity for your average bowler to play against the likes of Shane Garvey and Alex Marshall.
The first round of the major pairs has been played winners being (skips) P. Baker 23/10, P. Webster 16/14, P. Brady 22/18, G. Brims 22/8, R. Throw 22/20, M. Parry 23/14, R. Bradbury (forfeit), J. Sallustio 17/15. The next round is to be played on Sunday 24th May.

Forward event :- Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June the Grade 6 & 7 2 bowl triples. Entries for this event close Sunday 8th June.
New stock of the new uniforms has been received. Check at the bowls office for prices etc.

The 2015 By Laws have been rewritten and are available at the bowls office. An extract as it applies to dress rules is on the notice board, and members are recommended to have a read.
