The weekly news report for the Port City Men's Bowling Club is now available with thanks to Colin Halls.

Dress code for social bowls is club uniform/creams or clean smart casual, with collared shirt, neat shorts/slacks.

Pennants :- In grade 7/1 Lake Cathie defeated South West Rocks, which put Port City out of the running due to inferior margin.

Grade 1 will be playing Park Beach at Urunga on Saturday 30th May. There will be a supporters bus leaving the club at 8am and arriving back around 6pm. The cost for supporters is $15 pp and I believe Leigh will be providing “live “ entertainment. You are still welcome anyway.

Trevor’s paddle pop 2 bowl triples is back! Saturday June 7th, sausage sizzle at noon followed by 2 x 12 ends. There will be $250 in prize money and this event is a fund raiser on behalf of Gary Lawer, who as we know is doing it tough at the moment.

Forward event :- Friday 19th June to Sunday 21st June the Grade 6 & 7 2 bowl triples. Entries for this event close Sunday 8th June.

Reminder:- Club and Bowls renewal are due 31st May. Points accrued on your card will expire 31/5, so should be redeemed before that date.

Changes to smoking laws. As of early July there will be changes to smoking laws as it applies to smoking on and around the greens. Full details will be revealed closer to the actual date of the changes.

New stock of the new uniforms has been received. Check at the bowls office for prices etc.

The 2015 By Laws have been rewritten and are available at the bowls office. An extract as it applies to dress rules is on the notice board, and members are recommended to have a read.
