The last question asked if the skip could delegate the rolling of the jack to the second. Well done to those who voted "no", the correct answer! Last year I was asked about this subject by a player who participated in a tournament at Coffs and one of the teams wasn't challenged when the second put down the jack. The applicable law (37.3) states that The lead of the team to play first in an end should deliver the jack. In the forward of the laws it states that references to "should" and "will" mean that the action is compulsory thus the skip cannot delegate this action.
