What a great time we had on Tuesday for our Christmas Break-up party day. We started off with a spider and then a game of bowls to the Christmassy Music courtesy of Fay Martin.
While they were all out playing the rest of the ladies prepared the festive tables, they looked beautiful. Many thanks to Beth Schubert who made the Christmas cake, which was wonderful if you can imagine Santa having a bubble bath with Rudolph. Beth is so artistic and always makes us a lovely cake for any occasion. When the game was over everyone came in to a baked dinner, wine, orange juice - which was delicious. There were lots of winners but the Salvation Army was the overall winner of the day, Club Limited donated the green fees of $700.00 to Major Brett Gallagher and the proceeds from the raffle, spider and 100 club made an overall donation of over $1,150.00 Thank you to everyone who contributed to this great effort. Then there was the concert, as usual the cast put on a very entertaining show. The men’s club even put on a surprise overcoat tease, much to the delight of the ladies.
