The last question was - Lead A rolls the jack in the 1st end. The end is declared tied. Who rolls the jack in the 2nd end? Choices were: Lead A, Lead B, or toss a coin.

The general law is that the winner of the previous end rolls the jack, in this case there is no winner as the end was declared tied.

The correct answer is Lead A rolls the jack in the second end. Refer law 41.4  "If, however the first end is a tied end, the first to play in that end should also play first in the second end".

The new question concerns the minimum length for a delivered bowl.

The last question asked if the skip could delegate the rolling of the jack to the second. Well done to those who voted "no", the correct answer! Last year I was asked about this subject by a player who participated in a tournament at Coffs and one of the teams wasn't challenged when the second put down the jack.

The applicable  law (37.3) states that The lead of the team to play first in an end should deliver the jack. In the forward of the laws it states that references to "should" and "will" mean that the action is compulsory thus the skip cannot delegate this action.
