The Jackpot of $100.00 was Not won by B Palmer & B Carlile (visitors) – what rotten bad luck. Next week the Jackpot will be $208.00 plus. With numbers between 1 and 16.
Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs: Friday, Saturday & Sunday saw the running of the 2014 Mixed Pairs Tournament. 236 bowlers played 5 games spread over 3 days at 3 venues; Port City, Westport and Panthers (with 4 seasons thrown in to test them out). A great 3 days was enjoyed by all.
As with any tournament there has to be a winner and that was Shaun Richards (and partner) with 5 wins and a margin of 106. The runner up team was skipped by Bryce Stewart with 5 wins and a margin of 95. In all there were 13 five game winning teams – quite an achievement under the windy conditions. Congratulations to all teams and to the various bowls organisers at the three clubs who managed the multi-venued event so smoothly.
Sunday P.M. :- Social Bowls was played Sunday afternoon but as this report was being prepared the results were not available.
For all the up and coming bowlers, there is free coaching available to everyone (12 year olds and above welcome). Just turn up to the bowls office Saturday mornings at 10:00 am.
