Women's Bowls NSW has announced the draw for the State Champion of Club Champions Pairs. This event will be held at Warilla from Monday 30th June - Thursday 3rd July.

A great mixed pairs carnival finished today with the concluding game 5 played this morning. A very successful carnival thanks to all players and organisers at Westport, Port City and Port Panthers.

Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs - Day 2
Games 3 & 4 of the Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs were completed at all 3 clubs. After a chilly start the sun warmed things up and then the wind gave the bowlers a real challenge. Clouds came over later in the day but the rain held off during play.

Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs - Day 1
The popular Port Macquarie Mixed Pairs started today under ideal winter weather conditions. With play at Westport (host club), Port Panthers & Port City, games continues tomorrow (Sat.) and Sunday morning.

Women's Regional Pennant Play
Play commenced today at South West Rocks in the Women's Regional Pennant playoffs. Here is a "slightly biased" report from Barbara Owens, a player in the Port City Grade 4 pennant side.
"We had a fantastic win this morning against Old Bar. Unfortunately we were beaten by Stuarts Point this afternoon.
It all now depends on whether Old Bar beat Stuarts Point tomorrow morning."

The final of the Port City Men's Minor singles was played on Saturday 14th June under indifferent weather conditions. Scores were level for the first 10 ends until Matt Lacey found his form and went on to take the title 31 - 16 against Paul Webster.

Bowls NSW Rookies - Men's Singles & Pairs
Bowls NSW has announced the 2014 Bowls NSW Rookies singles & pairs competitions for new bowlers who have played less than 30 months (ie not a bowler prior to April 2012).
In both singles and pairs, the initial stage of play will be round robin in sections at Crescent Head (LNC) and Macksville (MNC) for Zone 14.

Port City WBC Weekly News
After a showery start on Monday the weather was
brilliant for our two- day Versatility Fives Carnival played on 2nd
and 3rd June. The 24 teams (120 players) filled every green and
the following clubs were represented. Kew, Forster, Wauchope, Tuncurry, Frankston,
Forster/Tuncurry Sports, Panthers, Westport, South West Rocks, North Haven,
Soldiers Point, Lake Cathie and, of course, Port City.
