We congratulate Jenny Roberts from Lake Cathie and Greg Brims from Port City on winning the Australian Open Mixed Pairs (17 to 7) last week at Darebin Bowling Club in Victoria. Well done.
Don’t forget that Social Bowls will commence at 9.00 am on Saturdays for the next few weeks, due to the Men’s Pennants being played.
Club Singles opened last week. Entries will close on 4th March and will be played on 18th March.
Entries will open 11th March for the Club Pairs. Entries will close on 1st April and will commence 15th April.
The Veteran’s Day this year will be held at Westport Bowling Club on Monday 7th April and a list is on the board for you to enter. Names to be on the list by 11th March. This is a really fun day and the host clubs and District try very hard to make this day a success. The only qualification you need to play is to be over 70 years of age. Everyone gets a present and the over 80’s are honoured and awarded a pin and a beautiful potted African Violet, so don’t forget to put your names on the sheet.
Our four day Easter Carnival will be held from 18th to 21st April. Events are as follows.
Good Friday - Mixed Fours, Easter Saturday – Ladies’ Pairs, Easter Sunday – Mixed Triples, Easter Monday – Men’s Pairs. There is still time to put your entries in.

We wish any of our members who are unwell all the best and we hope you are soon back at bowls.
Thanks to Barbara Owens for this report
