Port City Men's Bowling Club news report for the week ending Sunday 2nd February.

Wednesday & Thursday saw a great competition, “ The Test Series , The State of Origin” between Queensland and N.S.W. with N.S.W. being victorious in all disciplines, The Mens, The Ladies and The Under 25’s. Well done N.S.W. and congratulations to Queensland for their sterling effort.

Friday P.M. :- $15 W Francis & G Platt. $7:- J Duczynski & R Towers & R Osborn

The $600 jackpot was not won by M Glasse & C Thornton. It’s on again next week with $600 but 18 numbers to choose from, good luck boys.

Sunday A.M. :- $15 N Schwartz & B Stokes, $7 :- M Parry & P Flanagan.

Sunday P.M. :- 76 mixed bowlers enjoyed the beautiful Port Macquarie weather to play bowls and enjoy the company of their fellow bowlers. The lucky bowlers for the afternoon were :- R McCrow, B Hodgson, Nev Schwartz, R Hehir, B Barrett, L Scholz, K Carmody, L Thompson & R Limbert.

Lucky envelopes went to R Owen, B Crutcher, B Schubert, M Cutting & R Holihan.

Raffle winners were M Scholz, M Edwards & D Stone.

Next Sunday the jackpot will be $120.

For all the up and coming bowlers, there is free coaching available to everyone (12 year olds welcome). Just turn up to the bowls office Saturday mornings at 10:00 am .

Coaching:- The pennant players are reminded the Bryce Stewart coaching is to commence on Tuesday 7th Jan and are expected to attend if possible as per last Year.
